Tomislav Tommy Andric
I was born in Živinice, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and now live in Melbourne with my wife, Nevena.
Blue-collar by nature, moderately optimistic by choice. As Albert Einstein once said: “I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious.”
I write lyric poetry — often described as dark, raw to the core, believable, and deeply cynical.
My published collections include Graffiti from a Small Town (2002) and Life Doesn’t Dance (2014).
I have also collaborated with the band Zabranjeno Pušenje on the albums Muzej revolucije (Museum of the Revolution, 2009), Radovi na cesti (Road Works, 2013), Šok i nevjerica (Shock and Disbelief, 2019), and Karamba! (2024).
Literarily, I am obsessed with suffering, love, and religion.
My poems are dedicated to those who live for revolt, liberty, and passion —
and to those who do not.
